  •  At Queen's I completed a course titled Theory and Practice of Health Behaviour Change that focused on how to stimulate and motivate an individual to make a health behaviour change. Done through the use of behavioural theories within social marketing and tools such as the creation of PSAs and interactive health sites.
  • At Queen's I completed a Program Development course. Co-developed a health program that built a skateboard park in an under-privileged area of Kingston. Utilized skills with qualitative and quantitative research methods, principles of program planning using the PRECEDE- PROCEED model, and evaluation of the proposed program.


Completed dietetic internship and seeking a career in clinical dietetics in an outpatient setting to further my experience in patient counseling in weight management and diabetes. Blog Articles

§  Research project was creating a new knowledge pathway for PEN (Practice-based Evidence in Nutrition) focusing on Type 2 diabetes and the benefits of exercise in management.

§  Participated in the development of sample menus to teach carbohydrate counting and carbohydrate distribution to patients with Type 1 and 2 diabetes

§  Developed a weight loss package during rotation at Odette Cancer Centre (OCC) for individuals who have completed treatment.
