Megan Hooker

During her time with the Sioux Falls School District, she taught in a classroom of diverse students. The students were a mixture of English language learners, students with developmental delays, low-income families, and students with behavior issues. Teri was dedicated to finding ways to teach each student to meet their needs. Teri also managed two assistants in her classroom. She is very friendly and easy to work with inside and outside the classroom.

Teri is always willing to learn new things in order to provide the best classroom for her students. She is very respectful and personable with staff, parents and students in all situations.

Teri did an excellent job in this position. She has excellent written and verbal communication skills, is extremely organized and is very dedicated to her job and students.

Karen Rush

Teri has created a warm environment in her classroom by introducing incandescent lighting, soft music, and arranging the room in an “open arrangement” so that children can communicate well, have access to all materials, and can move around easily. This arrangement makes it convenient for Teri and her assistant to observe each student at all times and for students in wheelchairs or assisted walkers to move freely around her classroom. Teri works countless hours “above and beyond” required hours, to make adaptations for her disabled students.

It has been a pleasure to work with Teri Pieters, a devoted and effective teacher.

Teri was an essential part of our team to open and develop a successful business in Sioux Falls. Teri used her outstanding skills in customer service and human relations to help us build our membership and reputation for our center. She amazed me frequently with her outstanding work ethic and her passion for serving the community.
