Stavros' Personal Assistance Services (PAS) program is often also referred to as the Personal Care Attendant (PCA) program. The PAS/PCA Program enables people with long term disabilities to live at home rather than in a nursing facility by providing the funds to hire attendant(s) who help with daily living activities like getting out of bed, taking medication, personal grooming and housekeeping. This program is funded by the Division of Medical Assistance and all PCA consumers must be Mass Health Standard members. PCAs work for the consumer, not for Stavros.
