Head of Asset Management

Head of Asset Management Leading a team of over 60 staff, creating, implementing and leading a consolidation programme, across multiple sites, driving culture and process improvements while ensuring a tight control on operating costs to reduce the overall cost base. Reduction in facility footprint at one site through transfer of assets to two other sites combined with implementation of different operating methodology and toolsets. Part of a senior team working together towards a“ blue sky vision”. Accountable for all off-site storage facilities, on site stores and the general operation and control of 200, 000+ assets with a value of over£ 1.2Bn. Responsible for monitoring and continually improving standards of performance and quality across 3 operating sites, building a positive reputation with our customers. Duties: Formulation of business direction and strategy. Developing an end vision with associated policy and procedures to enable change. Planning and leading a transformation project across multiple operating sites. Introducing a new operating model and roll out of new IT management system. Responsible for all Project Management controls. Budgetary forecasting, review and control. Stakeholder management of customers and suppliers across diverse business units. Producing informative, well-organized presentations for senior management. Chairing monthly business reviews with Directors and senior colleagues. Career development of individuals to develop potential. Ensuring quality remains a key focus.

Investment Delivery/Facilities Manager Co-ordinating and managing four teams of 45 Facilities Engineers and Project Managers across two company sites. Accountable for an annual revenue budget exceeding£ 40M, balancing reliability and performance requirements against the risk of equipment failure. Providing leadership and management to facilities teams to successfully complete a£ 250M capital investment change programme to meet future manufacturing needs. Duties: Formulation of complex project plans. Negotiating a fixed price budget and project timescale with each specialist supplier. Developing business cases to highlight the benefits of investment. Producing monthly cost, schedule and performance review packs for senior management. Introducing a new method of cost tracking across a portfolio of projects. Chairing monthly business reviews with suppliers and team members. Leading by example to drive the programme to a successful end state.

Facilities Management Assessor/design review chairman


Facilities Management Assessor/ Design Review chairman for a £250M munitions transformation programme at Radway Green, Cheshire stretching from initial conception through to a brand new factory going live. Critical review of all manufacturing elements at each design phase throughout the lifecycle to ensure the new factory is able to meet environmental and efficiency targets whilst achieving contractual cost saving targets set by the MoD.

IT Consultant Designed, built and installed a Server and 30 PCs in a local Primary School. Provided support and maintenance for next 4 years, as the school IT Governor. Designed, built and installed a full IT suite comprising a web site, office server and email exchange with 12 PCs for an Insurance Broker in Preston. Provided support and maintenance/upgrades for the next 8 years incorporating new server and PCs where necessary to keep up with technology improvements such as secure external access and email synchronisation on laptops and iPhones/iPads.
