Manage 5 apparel, accessory, and equipment specialty sales representatives for the Western Region of the US (AK to AZ). Track and coordinate projections, sales and performance goals.  

Represent Columbia Sportswear Apparel, Accessories and Equipment for Northern CA and Nevada.

Managing sales for Columbia Sportswear, Sorel, Crescent, and Randa. Contracted with Trammell & Associates for Northern CA and Nevada business. Columbia Sportswear Brand Apparel, Footwear, Socks, Equipment, Sunglasses and Sorel Footwear.

• Manage all aspects of a 10 million dollar Apparel, Footwear, Equipment, Sock, and Accessories business with the largest brand in the industry.

• Create and implement sales and style-level forecasts. Have met or exceeded all sales goals since 2005. Consistent growth from 8 to over 100% growth depending on category.

• Manage all technology related aspects of West Coast operation, sample inventory management, web assets, computer troubleshooting, reporting, Powerpoint and print presentations, meeting implementations and more.

Two years as Operations, Event and Tech Rep manager.Three years as an Independent Sales Representative for The North Face in Northern California, Nevada, Hawaii, and Alaska. Also some experience in Washington and Idaho. Apparel, Footwear, Equipment, and Sunglasses.

• Create and manage numerous national and regional events, from technical training, to sales presentations. 

• Implement and manage in-house CRM software (Mac and PC), network, website authoring, Powerpoint presentations and all graphics, media and systems collateral for events, promotions, and daily operations. Develop Intranet and Extra-net for employees and contractors.

Assistant Operations Manager and Buyer for independent 3-5 store outdoor specialty retail chain. 

• Assist Operations Manager in many aspects of running a 11 million dollar independent three store outdoor chain. Worked independently and out of the corporate offices. 

• Worked creatively and effectively with corporate office, store managers, and employees to streamline communications, implement training, manage budgets and improve market share with focused outreach.

• Develop comprehensive training program for Store Managers, Sales Staff, and Warehouse.

• Buying duties for Footwear, Canoe and Kayak, Roof Racks, etc. 

1996 - 1999

• Manage all aspects of a million dollar adventure travel and kayaking company operating in Northern CA, BC, Alaska and Baja California. A/P, General Ledger, Payroll, cash flow, etc. 

• Recruit, hire, and manage a seasonal staff of more than 30 guides, naturalists and educators for Northern California and Baja California Operations.

• Create and manage all marketing opportunities, web site, quarterly brochure production (60,000 distribution), and grass roots efforts.
