Executed corporate turn-around, tripled revenues, returned technical software company to profitability prior to exit. Divested non-core business and acquired new immediately accretive business during my leadership.

Accelerated growth from $90MM to $500MM during my tenure at Bentley Systems – leading a software development division, field channel sales, acting as Asst. General Counsel, and most functional roles in between leading teams of various sizes while also being rated the most effective leader in an internal Watson Wyatt employee survey. Bentley is a privately, closely held company but made a confidential filing to go public in 2015.

Recently led seed fundraising efforts for Source3, a company I co-founded, culminating in a $4M Seed round led by Autodesk, Contour Venture Partners, Correlation Ventures and others.

Practiced corporate law, focusing on technology mergers & acquisitions and intellectual property licensing and counseling, at an AmLaw100 firm (Dechert, LLP).

Geomagic® was the leading provider of 3D software for capturing, creating and inspecting digital models of physical objects. I was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Geomagic, which was acquired by 3D Systems (NYSE: DDD) in 2013.  Geomagic's software is used to capture reality-professionals involved in the design, reverse engineering and inspection of parts, products and medical devices use Geomagic software to shorten time to market and substantially improve quality. I joined Geomagic in 2009, and with the support of a great team, tripled our revenues, returned the company to profitability, divested a non-strategic business and acquired Sensable Technology Inc's 3D design and haptics business in 2012. Sensable®, of Wilmington, Mass., was a leading developer of volumetric CAD/ CAM solutions, and the inventor of Phantom® force-feedback haptic devices that simulate the physical sensation of touch in the virtual world. Geomagic was backed by Valhalla Partners and Franklin Street Partners.

Global business owner for Bentley's comprehensive software subscription portfolio, representing nearly $325MM of Bentley's annual revenues. Equivalent role to Autodesk's VP, Global Subscription and Support. Established and tracked KPIs for subscription attrition and renewal rates by customer segment, sales vector and geography (and then designed programs to target sweet spots). Attacked non-core job functions for significant strategic gains worth well in excess of $15MM of increased profitability in 2008 alone. Growth from core job and key projects resulted in nearly 2/3 of Bentley's overall organic growth for the year. Direct report to the Chief Operating Officer.

Global quota carrier responsible for approximately 200 worldwide channel partners driving nearly $70MM of Bentley's overall revenues. Relocated with family to Bentley's Netherlands office for this role. Consistent quota over-achiever(both on revenues and channel compensation). Reduced COS from channel partners (through increased revenues and decreased costs) by 30% during the period. Upon return of family to the US, I commuted to the Netherlands for approximately 18 months (overlapping with my next role). Developed a comprehensive strategy to cull existing partners, establish partner competencies, implemented a segmentation plan, and recruited for growth. Executed on three successful global international partner summits, created and managed a Partner Advisory Council for“ voice of partner” interactions.

Sourced, negotiated and closed multiple corporate acquisitions and partnerships to fill out the Company's horizontal and vertical application portfolio. Co-lead on a $24MM carve out and acquisition of an operating division of publicly traded netGuru(NSDQ: NGRU) as part of a roll-up strategy in the engineering analysis software space. Lead and supported the negotiation of multiple key inbound and outbound technology licenses. Responsible for defining, sourcing and executing on Company's overall partnering strategy, with executive sponsorship of key corporate partners such as Microsoft, HP, and Adobe. Developed and managed multiple integrated partner sponsorship campaigns associated to User Conferences and various product launches including but not limited to the highly successful 70 city world tour in support of a major product launch.
