A sales and marketing executive with nearly two decades of experience in the retail industry, Todd Kozee serves as a retail consultant based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Commanding a long and impressive professional history, Todd Kozee began to lay a solid foundation for his career as a Co-Manager at major supermarket chain Kroger. Following this role, Mr. Kozee secured employment through a Montgomery Ward branch in Huntington, West Virginia, where, in a short time, he earned promotion to Operations Manager. From 1994 through 1995, Todd Kozee was promoted to General Manager of a Montgomery Ward location in Detroit, Michigan, where he successfully turned around the under-performing location, after which he managed one of the chain's highest volume stores in Wheaton, Maryland.
For the next three years, Todd Kozee split his efforts between management responsibilities at Montgomery Ward and educational coursework at the University of Maryland University College. An exemplary manager, Mr. Kozee ranked in the top one percent of all General Managers at Montgomery Ward nationwide, winning two Chairman’s Awards and overseeing the activities of executive team and 155 employees. Todd Kozee graduated with honors from the University of Maryland University College with a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies, then entered the next phase of his career.
Joining the team at Best Buy Co., Inc., in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1999, Todd Kozee spent the next two years as a Senior Marketing Manager while simultaneously enrolled in a Master of Business Administration program through the University of Tennessee’s College of Business Administration. During this period, Mr. Kozee continued to build upon his outstanding record by expanding Best Buy’s annual accessory portfolio revenues from $700 million to over $1 billion, spearheading various product launches and implementing effective, integrated merchandising standards to the chain's retail stores. Following the receipt of his MBA in 2001, Todd Kozee earned promotion to Merchant/Senior Buyer, in which capacity he held oversight for Best Buy’s consumer electronics product and telecommnications categories. As a result of his strong performance, Todd Kozee was again promoted, this time to Store Experience Team Manager, where he focused his expertise on a wide range of strategic cross-functional marketing project s and initiatives.
Leaving Best Buy at the end of 2003, Todd Kozee accepted an offer from MarketSource, Inc., to serve as Director of Client Services. In this role, Mr. Kozee reorganized the National Field Sales and Marketing Program for Hewlett-Packard Development Company, LP, exceeded the annual sales quota of $300 million, and provided a wide range of consulting services for major retail clients. Recognizing his substantial contributions to the company, MarketSource named Todd Kozee Executive Director of Retail Business Development in 2006, a position in which he would thrive for the next four years.
Following that role, Todd Kozee opened his own firm and performs retail consulting services for F500 companies with a focus on customer service operations improvements, channel marketing and GTM strategy.
