Supervisor: Jon Owner Managed a fast food restaurant and ice cream parlor. Daily gross income ranged from $250 to $2,500. Responsible for daily opening and closing of business, including securing property, preparing daily earnings record and night deposits. Did all cooking and food preparation using grill and deep fryers. Managed all aspects of front-line customer service including cashiering, tracking/maintaining inventory levels, ordering and restocking supplies, performing detail cleaning of all equipment. Supervised from three to eight employees.

Supervisor: General Manager Oversaw all activities on day and night shift for a busy fast food restaurant with dining room, drive-through service and a children's playground. Supervised a staff of twenty people. Performed personnel management functions including scheduling, staffing, interviewing, training and disciplining. Reconciled cash receipts which ranged from $2,000 to $5,000 a day. Ensured responsive and timely customer service was provided, tracked inventory, placed orders with distributors, and performed all closing procedures. Calculated total labor, inventory and maintenance costs weekly. Compared costs to budget projections, took action as needed to ensure that performance goals were achieved.

Supervisor: Owner Oversaw all operations of a fast food restaurant with on-site, home delivery and catering van services. Scheduled and coordinated children and adult parties for groups ranging from persons. As a result of my management success at the Capitola restaurant, I was given the challenge to stabilize and improve profitability at the Freedom restaurant located in Watsonville, CA(11/1/93). I reduced labor and food costs by approximately 30%. I was able to reduce food costs by approximately $500 a week by changing food distributors. Other accomplishments included implementing a system for reporting inside, delivery and total daily sales, controlling ordering practices and establishing appropriate inventory levels. Responsibilities at both stores included interviewing, hiring and disciplining employees, scheduling, making daily deposits, preparing weekly food orders and controlling inventory costs.
