Assistant Store Manager

Elite Ideas Trading Inc

My responsibilities at Elite Ideas Trading was to oversee the store functions while the owner was not in. I was in charge of the weekly inventory, stocking and product ordering. Including new products. As a key holder, if I wasn't opening the store. I was closing the store. I was present for every shipment of product. The owner would only need to be present for the high ticket items that came in. Other than that, I was in charge of confirming shipment orders. I was in charge of counting the safe and making any bank deposits on my opening shifts. Rarely, but sometimes also on my closing shifts. Writing the schedule was also my responsibility. When it came to the hiring process, I was step one. The owner was step two. I would go through all the applications myself and select who we interviewed. I would interview each applicant first. If I thought they would be a good fit, I passed them along to the owner. I would also delegate the daily and weekly responsibilities of each shift. The nice part was I had the freedom to arrange the weekly and daily duties in accordance to how the weekly flow of the store was. I had a good team working under me and everyone who was their was able to pull their own weight.
