Summary

Todd Mesick is currently a Fire Investigator for the Oneida Co Origin and Cause Team. He is an NFPA 1033 Nationally Pro Board Certified Fire Investigator, New York State Level II Fire Investigator.  Todd has served as a volunteer firefighter for the last 14 years, and currently is a member of the Maynard Fire District where he holds the positions of Training Officer and Recording Secretary. Todd has conducted, and been involved in, numerous origin and cause investigations in both New York and Georgia. During his time as a fire investigator and fire fighter he has also had an opportunity to conducted numerous live burn exercises and training.

In addition, to his experience as a firefighter, he has served and currently serves on Hazardous Materials Response teams, the New York State Urban Search and Rescue team (NY TF2), and has experience as a code enforcement officer. This experience has allowed him the ability to work a variety of different fire and emergency situations and develop knowledge and experience in:

                Todd also has developed his skills with Forensic Photography, by attending training both at the New York State Fire Academy and the West Virginia University Forensic Science Initiative. This allows him the ability to fully document the fire scene, and obtain the pictures necessary to document the fire. Todd has developed skills in Macro Photography of evidence items and can be called upon to assist in obtaining the necessary photos.
