Emirates Airline

Accountability: Deliver extensive multimedia production shoots for Emirates Airline products and services in alignment with corporate branding standards and within a defined schedule and budget for advertising and marketing implementation.

Responsibilities: Define scope for each project. Plan, organize, and manage production shoots for TV commercials, still photography, and online videos. Create master project plan and multi-task implementation of components: develop work structures; establish time-lines, shoot schedules, milestones, critical paths, and deliverables; lead cross-functional teams; and source international talent and photographers. Negotiate access to products (e.g. aircraft) and gain senior management approval across multiple departments (e.g. Engineering, Product Development, Marketing, etc.). Oversee budgets, manage costs, and negotiate fees. Supervise suppliers on production set. Work with agency to ensure product correctness on given storyboards.

  • Saved more than 40% in production shoot costs by negotiating the grounding of select aircraft for 3-4 days to do shoots in Dubai instead of travelling an entire crew to shoot at Boeing facility in Seattle, WA.
  • Reduced overall production costs 35% by eliminating middle men, managing previously outsourced items directly, and negotiating lower rates with agencies, photographers, and other third-party suppliers.
  • Delivered the company's largest production shoot at Dubai Airport’s new Terminal 3. Negotiated with and obtained authorizations from key senior internal and external stakeholders (Dubai Civil Aviation, Head of Airport Police, Head of Terminal, Head of Engineering, etc.) to shoot inside this highly-secured area before opening its doors to the public. Managed nearly 300 people (photographers, production crew, talent, etc.) over 4 weeks of shooting, including 5 concurrent production sets across the entirety of Terminal 3. Project was successfully delivered within scope, on schedule, and within budget.

UPS Online Store and Procurement Card Acceptance projects: Created product definition document, identified scope and business requirements. Managed all project segments, including scope, budgets, internal and external stakeholders, project plan, key milestones, and total deliverables. Coordinated and conducted feasibility studies and focus groups. Led project teams of 25-50 people to develop and implement information technology, procurement, pricing, marketing, internal and external communications, sales, advertising, branding, legal, and training for each project. Reported on status of each project to UPS senior management, CEO, and Board of Directors.

  • Project managed the Information Technology team that built within the UPS billing system the functionality to accept procurement cards as a type of credit card to meet the needs of UPS Strategic Accounts clients (e.g. large government accounts). Project generated $50 million in NPV.
  • As the Project Management liaison of the UPS legal team, successfully negotiated with Visa and MasterCard for the inclusion of contract clauses that disallowed both associations and their 10,000+ member banks from selling UPS customer information to third parties.
  • Project managed the UPS Online Store launch, which included design and development of the online shopping website for UPS Branded Packaging products, systems integration with a vendor order supply system, manufacturing, user interface, web design, external communications, web advertising, and package branding.
