Timothy LeeBurton, M.D., has practiced as a physician since 2004, specializing in orthopedic and hand surgery. As a general orthopedics practitioner at the Sanford University of South Dakota Medical Center in Sioux Falls for seven years, Dr. Timothy LeeBurton maintained an interest in surgical treatment of the upper extremities. In August 2011, he joined the Center for Specialty Care in Fairmont, Minnesota, as an orthopedic surgeon. Although his focus is on hand surgery, he also performs numerous surgeries on the upper extremities, such as the elbow and the shoulder. Dr. LeeBurton provides inpatient and outpatient care to a diverse range of patients in northern Iowa, western South Dakota, and southern Minnesota. In diagnosing and treating patients, he strives to ensure their quick return to regular activities at home, at work, and at play. Dr. Timothy LeeBurton began his medical studies at Rush Medical College in Chicago after earning a Bachelor of Arts at Northeastern Illinois University. In 1998, he earned his Doctor of Medicine with honors and as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. LeeBurton subsequently undertook an extended orthopedic surgery residency at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minnesota. He remained in Rochester to complete a 12-month, hand surgery fellowship at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education in 2004. Board certified in hand and orthopedic surgery, Timothy LeeBurton, M.D., maintains medical licensure in the states of Iowa, Minnesota, and South Dakota. A devout Christian, Dr. Timothy LeeBurton resides in Sioux Falls with his wife and four children. He has authored five books for children, including Going to the Hospital and I Can Be a Doctor. In his free time, Dr. LeeBurton enjoys playing golf and participating in family activities.
