Running, marathons, the outdoors, and fishing
A New York native, Timothy P. Higgins grew up near the city. During his boyhood, Higgins played the saxophone, managed a Wendy’s fast food restaurant, and delivered food for a Queens pizzeria. In 1996, Timothy P. Higgins married his wife Dina at St. Dominic Church in Oyster Bay. Still together after 16 years, they are the parents of three children, and the five of them enjoy traveling the world. In New York, Higgins prefers vacationing at Lake George in the Adirondacks and staying at the Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing. Elsewhere in America, they have gone to San Juan, Puerto Rico, where Higgins engaged his interest in deep-sea fishing. The Walt Disney World Resort serves as another regular destination for the family, and they have visited the park 15 times. Outside of their home country, the Higgins family has gone to Dublin to see U2 perform at Croke Park. On their honeymoon, Timothy P. Higgins and his wife went to Monte Carlo and Paris. 13 years later, they returned to France with their children and visited Versailles, the Eiffel Tower, and the renowned café St. Germain. Last year, they spent New Year’s in London and marched in the Clowns International parade. When not experiencing new locations, Timothy P. Higgins participates in charities such as Team for Kids, New York Road Runners, Trocaire House in Huntington, Race with Purpose, and Modest Needs Foundation. During his spare time, Higgins enjoys weight lifting; water sports; running marathons; and listening to Led Zeppelin, U2, and Muse. A cinema afficionado, he regularly watches James Bond movies, As Good as it Gets, and There’s Something about Mary.
