In practice for more than three decades, Timothy Fitzpatrick, DVM, has accumulated considerable experience and expertise in veterinary care. He currently works with animals and their owners at ABQ PetCare Hospital, a state-of-the-art veterinary facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As the owner of ABQ PetCare, he provides the latest medical technologies along with friendly, welcoming service for clients and their animal companions.Before beginning his career as a board-certified veterinarian, Dr. Fitzpatrick earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. He received his veterinary degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University. In addition to being state licensed, he holds the prestigious Diplomate status from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. Dr Tim is married to attorney Stacy Sutherland-Fitzpatrick who is the principal attorney in the firm ABQ Accident Attorney, LLC, and who was a veterinary technician for 18 years. At the start of his career, Timothy Fitzpatrick, DVM, founded Veterinary Care Center in Albuquerque. It grew to the largest veterinary hospital in New Mexico before he sold it and moved back East to raise his four children near family. His children are all accomplished and include an orthopedic surgeon, veterinarian, attorney, and an HVAC specialist. After practicing in New York for 14 years, he returned to New Mexico and began ABQ PetCare Hospital in 2009. It too, is growing because of the personal care and dedication his veterinary group gives to its pet patients. Under his leadership, the veterinary facility offers a full range of services, including surgical procedures, wellness care, dental services, and behavioral counseling. ABQ PetCare is home to an on-site laboratory and possesses advanced diagnostic capabilities. Dr. Fitzpatrick practices alongside Dr. Jacquelin Shrewsbury, Dr. Veronica Bingamon, and Dr. Mary England. An experienced, highly trained veterinary staff supports the doctors’ work.Since coming to New Mexico, Timothy Fitzpatrick, DVM, has contributed to a number of animal welfare groups in his community and beyond.
