Attorney Timothy B. McCormack has 14 years experience practicing intellectual property and business law, and counts such prominent organizations as Getty Images and Microsoft among his clients. An author of numerous papers on Intellectual and business property law, Timothy B. McCormack is a member of the Washington State Patent Law Association and owner of the Seattle law firm McCormack Intellectual Property.Timothy B. McCormack graduated cum laude from the University of Washington with a Bachelors of Arts in Speech Communications. An outstanding student, he was in the Gold Key Honor Society and the National Dean's List Honor Society. He obtained his JD from the University of Oregon Law School, where he also earned an Intellectual Property Certificate, and was President of the Intellectual Property Student Organization. Mr. McCormack obtained additional legal training at Oxford University's Law Program. Following his education, Timothy McCormack took a position as law clerk, then as attorney with Seed and Berry LLP, now Seed Intellectual Property Law Group PLLC, in Seattle, where he worked on numerous projects for Microsoft, covering trademark, patent, and copyright issues. Next, he undertook a Lead Attorney position for Pacific Northwest Law Group, Judd & Sailer, PLLC. Mr. McCormack helped to bring in Microsoft as a client, and was involved in all areas of the practice's intellectual property work. In 2001, Timothy B. McCormack formed his own firm, and continued to litigate in such fields as copyrights, trademarks, licensing, trade secrets, patents, and other areas of intellectual property law. Among other accomplishments, he has been involved in litigation concerning satellite imaging software used by government agencies such NASA and the CIA. In addition to his work in private practice, Timothy McCormack served as a volunteer coordinator for the successful 2006 Washington Supreme Court re-election campaign of judge Gerry L. Alexander. When not working, Mr. McCormack spends his time on home improvements, computers and other technologies, and movies. He directed the documentary film Rise N Shine: A Hero's Journey, released in 2009.
