Summary

Social Service and Making a Difference are my passions.  I am returning to school 06-2009 to further my education in social and behaviorial science.  I am seeking gainful employment to couple with my education towards a complete package for sustaining "the good life."  The good life includes shelter, food, transporation, good employment and the wonder and growth of learning.

My work history demonstrates that I have a myriad of applicable skills to become a beneficial asset to many working environments.  In short, I need a job!  Thank you for your time and consideration and good luck with your hiring projects.

SafeShelter Coordinator

Yamhill Community Action Partnership

SafeShelter” uses the licensed, therapeutic host home model to provide local shelter services that is coupled with comprehensive services and healthy activities for runaway and homeless youth ages 11-17.  This essential service provides the assistance necessary to help affected youth move safely, with a Safe Exit, to a safe, stable, and appropriate living arrangement, developing a healthy, successful life.

As Coordinator I recruited, certified and trained Host Home Providers according to  Dept. of Human Services licensing.  I brought community awareness of the SafeShelter resource to schools and a variety of youth serving organizations in Yamhill County.  I oversaw intake processes and case management of youth served in the SafeShelter program.
