About Thor Lund

Entrepreneurially focused, Thor Lund completed his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and business at the University of Texas (UT) at Austin in 2014 and served as student body president from 2012 to 2013. He represented a student body of more than 50,000 to the UT administration and other entities, and coordinated the appropriation of student fees totaling $46 million. Thor Lund also spearheaded creation of the Longhorn Entrepreneurship Agency, which hosts presentations by business leaders and provides students with critical mentorship and resources in launching innovative projects.

Mr. Lund gained professional experience with J.P. Morgan in 2011. As a technology analyst, he developed a host of data harvesting tools employed by the investment bank’s Oil and Gas Global Commodities group. In particular, he created a platform that provided traders with real-time updates on critical gas pipeline market data. Mr. Lund also has eight months experience as a research assistant with UT Dallas. In this position, Thor Lund engaged as part of a senior design team in producing a prosthetic above-knee robotic leg.
