Led all aspects of company’s cosmetic and housewares industry account acquisition.Key account management and business development generated $4 million in retail merchandising systems sales annually.Led creative strategy and strategic presentations on all aspects of company’s core competencies, with a value-added selling focus.

·Penetrated the Revlon account and won the design initiative for a new merchandising wall system for the mass channel.The $.55M sale led to being awarded project to rework existing cabinetry and testing facilitators

·Won Revlon universal merchandising system project for 2013 new product launch in eye shadow category.U.S. division sale of $1MM with potential global business opportunity exceeding $2M in Canada, Australia, and Latin America.

·Successfully cultivated the L’Oreal account, generating $2M in new business in the Luxury, Professional and Canadian divisions

  • Promoted a youth branding for Lugz footwear by creating an urban hip-hop in-store presentation using innovative materials that maximized eye appeal.  Designed and oversaw production of signage, merchandiser and glorifier.  Delivered project on time and within strict budgetary guidelines.
  • Facilitated a re-launch initiative for Shu Uemura cosmetics by driving the launch of it "Toyko Color Bar," in 11 independent stores.  Worked in close collaboration with the marketing team, and retailer to secure all neccessary approvals.

A Display Production Company providing a variety of displays promoting companies providing cosmetics, house wares, footwear, pet food, wine and spirits and numerous other products.

Work closely with clients to create unique, cost-effective in-store merchandising solutions that address retailer needs and brand objectives.  Client list includes cosmetic, housewares, footwear, wine and spirits and pet food companies.  Introduce new, innovative production processes and materials.  Maintain client communications with an uncompromising consideration for client service and retention.

  • Created merchandising system for launch of Kiehl's baby care line. Challenge was creating elegant system for cosmetic departments of top tier department stores and to be informative to parents of newborns. Designed and produced "baby blocks" merchandising system including counter unit and free-standing kiosk for newborn children's department.
1995 - 2002

Director of Display Development

Provided leadership to department responsible for design direction and development, purchasing and production of retail environments including permanent and promotional displays.  Managed $40 million budget to promote forty brands in prestige and mass market retailers.  Presented new product launches and initiatives to major retailers. 

  • Leader of team that launched Healing Garden Aromatherapy and Calgon Bath and Body permanent retail environment merchandising. Launches created a new category in the mass market. These in-store retail environments are the winners of multiple industry awards.
  • Created merchandising strategy that changed corporate direction from strictly display merchandising to creation of retail environments. Initiated first use of fragrance kiosks, store within store and brand boutiques for Esprit, Fragrance World and Healing Garden.
  • Created a prestige look at retail, utilizing a flexible tray system. This open-sell system resulted in the consolidation of seasonal programs, creating significant cost savings and was very positively received by retailers.

Directed the development processes behind the design of merchandising and promotional programs including permanent fixture, package development, promotion, photography and public relations and supporting the sale of L'Oreal Hair Care Products. 

  • Promoted more effective hair color sales by creating and producing a new integrated merchandising system, "Hair Color Intelligence," incorporating in-shelf signing, trays, permanent information panels and an interactive hair color selector.

Creative Director, Biotherm Skincare

Designed and directed all merchandising programs, visual support and package development for a prestige skincare line.

  • Directed the design and installation of "skin fitness center" at Macys Herald Square and Union Square locations.  Drawing on a strong knowledge of materials and processes, created the Biotherm "Spa within a Store".  The installation featured all new merchandising and counter identification elements.
  • Directed the re-positioning of a full-line of sun protection products utilizing innovative packaging componentry.  Awarded the international Marie Claire packaging award.
