Subsidiary of publicly traded ELSA AG, Aachen Germany, a leading manufacturer of high-end 3D graphics accelerators, modems, ISDN, DSL adapters, and Video conferencing add-on cards.  ELSA grew from 140 to 550 employees worldwide and established offices in US, Taiwan, and Japan.  IPO March ’98. 

ELSA Inc. grew from three employees to 39 and gained 23% worldwide market share in the 3D-workstation segment.

  • Exceeded revenue growth expectations to >$24M by the 3rd year. Overcame challenges of market consolidation and strong domestic competition
  • Achieved profitability after the 3rd fiscal year by maintaining gross margin above market average
  • Closed major OEM accounts with Dell and Compaq, competing against established domestic competitors resulting in increased revenue and gaining market share in 3D NT-Workstations
  • Defined, implemented, and managed strategic business plans to gain market share
  • Developed and executed sales program to build a national reseller and distribution channel which led to long term partnerships with Ingram Micro and Tech Data
