After attending Rhode Island College and Arizona State University and receiving a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology, Themistocles Faraone remains active in his academic community as a member of the American Meteorological Society. At present, Themistocles Faraone resides in Narragansett, Rhode Island, and shows deep involvement with the issues facing the state. Taking a stand against overdevelopment, Themistocles Faraone also advocates on behalf of animal and human rights.
A volunteer at his local Rape Crisis Center, Themistocles Faraone works to expand the options available to those who have been victimized while creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment. Themistocles Faraone also volunteers with the YMCA and serves as a police reservist. Interested in health foods, Themistocles Faraone lobbies for increased Food and Drug Administration regulation of supplements currently available on the market. Professionally, Themistocles Faraone oversees the investment portfolio of a small finance company located in South County, Rhode Island. A central part of Themistocles Faraone’s life is his involvement with his church congregation. Themistocles Faraone enjoys the ability to regularly worship and learn with a group of devoted Christians.
During time off from work, Themistocles Faraone enjoys reading the gospels and epistles found in the New Testament and consistently feels amazed at their direct relationship to his own life. A voracious reader, Themistocles Faraone counts George Orwell’s 1984 and Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged among his favorite novels. Themistocles Faraone also remains proud of his father, now deceased, a veteran of World War II honored by the state of Rhode Island for his contributions to its history.
