I started out as a independent contractor for this company then I accepted a full time position with them in hopes of expanding my knowledge in the field of insurance loss and restoration. I have learned a great deal on this side of construction and I am now looking to further my formal education and get in with a company that will allow me to use my expertise and experience to grow with them.
After a two year contract in the Marine Corps I went to work for a family owned company that gave me a great base of knowledge in the field of construction and construction management. I was an onsite project manager for many years and dealt with sub-contractors, deliveries, materials, customer relations and contract negotiations.
During my short term in the Marine Corps, I was trained in aviation maintenance. I specialized in fuel delivery systems, hydraulics, and pumps. I achieved the rank of PFC straight out of boot camp and quickly advanced to corporal. I was in charge of 30 men and 3 styles of aircraft.
Graduated near the top of my class in the fields of drama and french.
I am currently enrolled at The University of Phoenix in their associates program. I have a GPA of 3.84 and upon completing my associates degree I am planning to continue my education to receive my bachelors degree in construction management.
My objective is to bring my skills and knowledge to a company that will allow them to be put to use in a way that will both benefit the company and myself. I am a well spoken individual who is excited to share my knowledge and expertise with those I come in contact with and who likes learning of others experience to increase my own knowledge. I am a person of integrity and expect to stay with a company that I can advance with in the hopes of enlarging the companies customer base.
My primary interest at this time in my life is to increase my formal education level to a degree in which it will benefit me in obtaining a career that will be life long. Then to use this knowledge to increase the productivity and profit for the company that puts these skills to work for them. I also love to build in my spare time, I see this as enjoyable and not as weekend work.
