Through my years of experience as a CAD Manager, Coordinator, Trainer, and Certified Drafter, I have been considered a “Drafting/CAD Guru”. • Corrected the contract engineers design intent of the Piping and Plumbing for a $2 Billion Resort Casino and through coordination with the General Forman utilized the intent to fit the actual space and design requirements • Reduced number of redline iterations by consistently communicating with Contractors and Owners through Requests for Information (RFI) and Engineering Change Notifications (ECN) resulting in working drawings that were correct and up-to-date to contractors, owners and field personnel expectations. • Increased the productivity of drafters and designers by the creation of block libraries and specialized drafting routines as well as training in how to create these libraries resulting in consistent on-time deliverables. • Implemented company drafting and CAD standards that complied with both ANSI Y14 and industry conventions resulting in deliverables that were consistent from drawing to drawing and project to project.

• Achieved a reduction in non-productive actions by creating proper paper space layouts with appropriate Architectural and Structural backgrounds as well as master drawing sheets during the preliminary and permit drafting process for a $14M, 14 story office and medical building. • Organized and streamlined the consumables ordering, reducing the amount of inventory overhead, and allowing for maximum use of department budgets. • Developed, as a team, and executed CAD standards that complied with ASME Y14 and Industry conventions, resulting in more consistent deliverables. • Analyzed the development of weekly software training sessions increasing the staff’s knowledge of the software being used, enhancing the team’s ability to meet deliverable schedules. • Developed and organized training material that produced 14 ADDA Certified Mechanical Drafters. • Simplified learning curve time and increased peak efficiency for new personnel by creating and administering pre-hire tests • Expanded the support role for other departments i.e. estimating. • Established an AutoCAD focal point for 5 engineers during the $10 million Capital Improvement Program at the Spokane Waste Water Treatment Plant achieving coordination and on time delivery of documents at each progress point. • Coordinated the drafting process of a $2M lodge in Texas through creation of menus and drafting templates which produced accurate and standards compliant drawings. • Reduced down time of installation and achieved on-time completion of milestones by coordinating surveyor information with engineering plans for multiple fiber optic projects across the United States as manager of a 13-drafter department. • Utilized complete field dimensions to increase a correct remodel for an Architectural Client, including all outside dimensions and locations, and transferring them to electronic form. • Analyzed, researched, and tested equipment and software for clients and employers to determine the best Return on Investment (ROI) and facilitated the purchase order procedure. • Identified and corrected production software operational problems achieving smooth and efficient operation including rewriting menus, redirecting lookup paths and reinstallation. • Analyzed and organized the incorporation of AutoCAD into GIS functions for both disciplines improving the ability of both to work as a unit. • Taught Board and CAD Drafting at Post Secondary level receiving awards for excellence in presentation and student retention by rewriting lesson plans and syllabi. • Developed detailed job descriptions accomplishing more staff confidence in the job they were doing reducing confusion and crossing of responsibility lines.
