An artist and former Creative Director in the advertising world, Terrie Koles currently puts her talents to use as the Owner and Chief Designer of Terrie Koles Design, LLC, in New York City. Drawing on a background in advertising and an intrinsic sense of design, she produces unique interiors for clients in the city and surrounding areas. Experienced with a range of residential projects, Ms. Koles has created modern interiors, including a loft in Chelsea. She has also completed historical renovations; of note is her contributions to a 12,000 square-foot home on Long Island. She brings a sensitivity to budgetary constraints, functionality, and personal taste to every project, and her sensibilities have won the praise of her numerous clientele.Terrie Koles aesthetic sensibility can be traced back to her youth and an early desire to create fine art. She has studied privately in Florence, Italy and attended both the School of Visual Arts and the Art Students League in New York. In addition, Ms. Koles has attended the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC and later, the fine arts program at The New York Academy of Art (NYAA), where she was mentored by such renowned artists as Jenny Saville, Eric Fischl, and Vincent Desiderio. Ms. Koles graduated from NYAA with an MFA in Painting.For the next 12 years, Terrie Koles established herself as a creative force at several Madison Avenue agencies, including Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy and Mather, Deutsch, Inc., and BBDO. Over the course of her career, she has produced widely hailed print and broadcast campaigns for national and international brands such as Visa Gold, Rolling Rock Beer, Ikea, Skippy Peanut Butter, and Samsung Electronics. Her entire portfolio was featured in Art Direction Magazine, and her work also has been covered by Advertising Week, Newsday Magazine, Ad Age, Communication Arts, and Archive Magazine.
