Founder, Volunteer Coordinator for Grand Valley Region for a National Park(GVR-CNP). Garnered widespread support for re-designation of Colorado National Monument to its founder's historic goal of national park status. Co-ordinated and carried out social media, website, public relations, fundraising for advertisement, community education, speaking engagements, petition signature collection, and served as the group's primary liaison to Senator Mark Udall and Congressman Scott Tipton.

-  2008  Lone Star Emmy for “A Child to Love” project. Featured investigative reports into the Texas foster care system, alongside a program to find homes for the hardest to place children.:

-  2007 Certificate of recognition from Baylor Health Care Foundation(Celebrating Women Event) in honor of time, support and contributions in the fight against breast cancer.

-  2007  Certificate of Appreciation, Speaker, Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership, Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, Texas.

-  2006   Awarded Certificate of Appreciation from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (Region 3).

-  2005   Founded the“ Child to Love” program with the Region 3 Department of Family and Protective Services and Edna Gladney Adoption Agency to find homes for children in foster care who are the most difficult to place. Ninety percent of 210 children featured found permanent homes.

-  2005  Women Change America award, US Army Corps of Engineers, Speaker,(Fort Worth District-Federal Women's Program) for time, support and participation in the 2005 Women's History Month Program.

-  2005   Honorary membership, Texas Naval Station, 457th Fighter Squadron Air Force Reserve, Fort Worth, Texas. Awarded 16 hours of flight time for F-16 training and flight.

-  2004  Associated Press Award, KDAF T.V., Station of the Year 1998:

-  1998  Texas Associated Press Award, 2nd place. Wrote, produced, and hosted documentary on the Pope's visit to Cuba, the people's fight for religious freedoms, and the impacts of the U.S. embargo.

-  1998  K-EYE T.V. Voted“ Station of the Year”, Austin, TX.

-  1997  Nominated for Austin Communicator of the Year, American Women in Radio and Television, Austin, TX chapter.

-  1996  Texas Associated Press Award, 1st Place, Wrote, produced and hosted documentary on Russia's inadequate medical and emergency response system, the crisis surrounding the country's 400 thousand abandoned children, and Russia's transition away from communism.
