As a youth mentor for the NAACP , I am required to possess good listening skills and to be responsible, dependable, considerate, and optimistic.  I am currently mentoring 5 students in high schools across the DFW area. The ACT-So Competition is a academic decathlon where students compete in a variety of subjects for scholarships. All of my students are aspiring writers, and It is my task to critique and challenge them.. As an effective youth mentor,  not only do I  invest in my student's life through regular time spent but I also aide them in establishing an action plan to achieve personal and continuing career goals.
