- I accept payment from customers, and make change as necessary.
- I request and record customer orders, and compute bills using cash registers, or pencil and paper.
- I clean and organize eating, service, and kitchen areas.
- I notify kitchen personnel of shortages or special orders.
- I communicate with customers regarding orders, comments, and complaints.
- I select food items from serving or storage areas and place them in dishes, on serving trays, or in takeout bags.
- I relay food orders to cooks.
- I prepare and serve cold, hot, or frozen drinks and desserts, using drink-dispensing, or blending machines.
- I collect and return dirty dishes to the kitchen for washing.
