Behavioral Link

Provides direct one-on-one support,mentoring,supervsion, and companship to assigned participation through activities in a school or community based setting. Activities and services are in support of goals established in the particpant's treatment plan. Comply with the policies and procedures of Behavioral Link, maintaina contact with participants, assigned program manager as needed, and complete all clinical documentation for services in an accurate ans timely manner as directed by program manager.

Provides case management services, direct and indirect support, guidance, companship, tutoring, training and acting as a support for daily life skills to residents ages 6-17 expreiencing but limited to; antisoical, oppstional, difant, aggressive, abusive,impulsive, and high risk emotional, behavioral concerns, psychiatric ans/or developmental disabilities from variety of community ans home settings. Follow the goals for the residents for treatment plan, ensure communction between team memebers, maintaing logs and progress report notes daliy,and attend trainings in the community regarding teh dynamics ans knowledge of child abude and neglect, dealing with angry children.

Arrive at Kidzcope at 5:30 PM on night of group

Bring snacks to servered before group

Help families find rooms on first night

Knock on group room doors at 7:35 to inform facilitators know 10 mins left for group

Clean up after families leave

Daily telephone responibilites:

Check telephone messages and record in appropriate book

Return telephone calls as requested by program coordinators

Reminder telephone calls to each family the day before each group

Reminder telephone call to eash host/hostess the day before each group

Complete telephone intakes using agency form

Schedule orientation interviews

Mail appointment letter and orientation

Daily clerical responsibilites:

Check supply of family packets-prepare packets as needed

Enter information from family orientation meeting Group summmary

File familiy orientation folder in appropriate group file

Daily operational tasks:

Empty trash cans in all rooms each day and after each group

Wipe tables with Clorox towelettes

Take trash bag to dumpster when full

Tidy kitchen, bathrooms, mop, and vacuum floors every Tuesday and Thurday

VOLUNTEER: Reality U is an exercise that helps youth understand the “realities” involved in preparing for an employable future and adult responsibilities. Each student completes a lifestyle assessment and is assigned an occupation based on their grade point average.


Have lunch with a child once each week. Quality time in this one-on-one relationship can help students in many areas that affect life at home and at school.


Help a child be successful in school by tutoring them during the school day or helping them with their homework after school.

Girl Power:

Motivate and inspire at-risk girls by connecting them with positive female role models. You can help girls build confidence, take appropriate risks, and enjoy the rewards associated with good decision-making.

Supply or Clothing Drive:

Help children and families by donating much needed, new, miscellaneous items (backpacks, school supplies, clothing, etc.), or organize a drive at your church or place of business.

Currently I am a studnet attending Wichita State Unversity, also a practicun student at Kidzcope. I plan to earn my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work in May 2012 and seek employment after graduation. I plan on furthering my education into the Master's program to expand economic opportunity for working with children and their families.
