Information Center Coordinator
Working at the Information Center, not only am I responsible for responding to visitor inquiries via phone, e-mail and in person, providing the highest quality guest service and retaining reliable knowledge of all tourism and non-tourism related activities and topics, but I am also a key member to the Marketing Department. Acting as a liaison between the Marketing Department and visitors I write and create content for a quarterly newsletter that is sent to over 5,000 potential visitors and create daily content for Town of Frisco’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. I also help with editing a variety of material, brainstorming marketing ideas and researching products and vendors for events.

In this position I prepared for large and small public events happening in a variety of locations by being trained in portable stage set-up and take-down, solving problems quickly and efficiently and flexing with event and event attendees needs.

As a Spring PR Intern I was granted exposure to a number of different clients. I participated in drafting and editing news releases, pitch notes, compiling media lists using Cision, distributing releases, pitching and following-up on media calls, client media materials development, appropriate client and team meetings, conducting basic research, and drafting, editing and posting social media content.

As a summer intern at WomanMade Gallery in Chicago, IL I had the opportunity to work closely with multiple artists during set up and take down of shows. I also gained experience in categorizing/archiving work; as well as researching relevant media and contacts for an upcoming exhibit.
