ITAP is a highly selective internship program providing a singular experience that blends a traditional liberal arts education with cutting-edge experiential learning in an academic environment. In addition to technological skills, ITAP internships build skills that are part of a liberal arts education, such as critical thinking, analytical reasoning, problem solving, and communication skills. In my first year of training, I participated in rotations focused in audio recording services, web authoring, instructional methods, and digital media design and development.

Education

Aug 2011Present

B.A. Expected

DePauw University

I am currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science with minors in Studio Art, Asian Studies and Economics. It's clear educational diversity is very important to me; I feel being well-rounded is an important and often under-rated quality to have.

Minor Concentrations:

  • Studio Art
  • Asian Studies
  • Economics

Interest

My interests pertaining to technology include social media and how it's shaping the way we learn and communicate. I think the social media boom is fascinating and incredibly important to study as it will effect the way my generation communicates and learns. I'm also interested in digital art and new media. These areas of study revolve around using various technologies to communicate ideas as an art form.

My hobbies include recreational sports such as golf and bowling. I played both of these sports in high school and they continue to act as a good way for me to de-stress. I also enjoy doing ink drawings, which are often abstract and random in nature. I've always needed some kind of creative outlet; in the past it has been oil painting and charcoal drawings.
