For over twenty years I have worked with nonprofits helping them raise money and their visibility. I've worked in a small, grassroots lobbying organization all the way up to a statewide public radio station.  I've developed a passion for online communications, which began in 1999 with the advent of professional e-mail marketing.  Now, I'm deep into the adventure of social media and how to best put this powerful connection tool to work to achieve success.

In my private business, I use my leadership experience in communications, marketing, coaching and project management to help sole-proprietors, artists, and small non-profit organizations realize their vision and goals.

One of my strengths is as a 'connector'.  Relationship and community building is what I enjoy most - online and off.

  •  Responsible for all marketing and development for the station.
  •  Increased membership revenue from FY06 – FY07 by 13%.
  •  Increased membership revenue from FY07 - FY08 by 6%.
  •  Managed staff of five development professionals in reaching yearly fundraising goals totaling over $2.25 million a year.
  • Worked closely with President and CEO and Board of Trustees in leading The Campaign for New Hampshire Public Radio, a $6.5 million capital campaign.
  • Oversaw the management of all foundation and corporate proposals.
  • Handled all press relations for the station achieving highest possible visibility both locally and nationally.
  • Part of branding and identity team working to re-establish the NHPR brand identity.

Development Director

NARAL Pro-Choice New Hampshire
  • Responsible for all aspects of the organization’s development program, which included a 501 (c)4, 501 (c)3, and a Political Action Committee.
  • Established an ongoing major donor program, increasing the major gift level of the organization from $250 to $1,000 and $5,000 gifts.
  • Increased individual contributions by 23% over two years.
  • Led and cultivated an environment that transformed an activist volunteer board, not involved with major donor fundraising, to one of complete involvement with the major donor activities of the organization.

Communications Director

Campagne Associates
  • With Marketing Director and VP of Marketing, led all corporate identity, branding, and marketing initiatives.
  • Co-directed the re-design of company catalog, website, and other interactive marketing materials.
  • Established an integrated online marketing communications program, which included an e-mail newsletter, and comprehensive website content aimed at engaging the national development community.
  • Responsible for all company communications including printed collateral, direct mail, e-mail newsletter, and product promotions.

Interim Development Director

Palace Theatre
  • Created marketing and direct marketing materials for the theater.
  • Researched all funding sources.
  • Wrote and edited all grant proposals.
  • Managed and implemented annual fund and sponsorships.
  • Secured funding for permanent Development Director position.

Currier Museum of Art
  • Supported all aspects of museum membership, development and marketing efforts.
  • Responsible for annual fund, including planning and writing of solicitations.
  • Assisted with foundation and corporate proposals.
  • Responsible for all donor management and database tracking, reporting, and maintenance in Raiser's Edge Database.

Assistant Director

NH Humanities Council
  • Wrote multi-year foundation proposals.
  • Assisted in the development and initial implementation of state-wide series on comparative religions.
  • Managed statewide Humanities Resource Center Speakers Bureau, including all marketing materials.
  • Led the development of new grant guidelines for the organization.

Program Associate

Vermont Humanities Council
  •  Wrote proposals and final foundation reports totaling over $250,000.
  •  Administered all aspects of grants management.
  •  Managed Statewide Speakers Bureau, including creation and management of all associated marketing materials.
  • Managed four annual, statewide weekend humanities conferences, with over 150 attendees and multiple daily keynotes and breakout sessions.
  • Created all marketing strategies and materials for the annual conference.
  • Developed and implemented programs for targeted audiences such as at-risk youth and adults learning to read.
