Tanya Seymour is Vice President of the Richard Seymour BGC Foundation in Eastover, South Carolina. Since May 2005, she has overseen the foundation’s daily operations, which include maintaining the budget, hiring new employees, mentoring and developing the staff, and creating a public presence with community visibility for the organization. She coordinates and supervises staff members and works to maintain the foundation's financial stability. Ms. Seymour is also responsible for ensuring that the BGC Foundation remains in compliance with state and federal guidelines for nonprofit agencies, and that the organization consistently meets its stated goals.In the midst of her career with the Richard Seymour BGC Foundation in South Carolina, Ms. Seymour took classes through the University of Phoenix, and in January 2011 earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration. In addition to her work at the BGC Foundation, Ms. Seymour participates in several charitable projects. She supports the Eastover Division of the Richland County Recreational Park, as well as Lower Richland High School, to which she donated a new weight and exercise room. She has also contributed to Antioch AME Zion Church, Pleasant Grove Church, True Vine, Mount Nebo, and the March of Dimes Walk.In her time away from the office, Tanya Seymour enjoys watching televised football games, boxing matches, and cooking shows. Other favorite pastimes include reading, sewing, skiing, bike riding, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. Ms. Seymour’s greatest satisfaction and joy comes from her work with children and youth.
