Voted "Best City Tour in Seattle" for the 3rd year in a row, Ride the Ducks is a family friendly, fun  and entertaining attraction - a true "Don't Miss" event while in Seattle.  Roll through the streets of Seattle on our WWII amphibious vehicles.  Our wacky captains and great music entertain you with comedy and little known facts about our city.  Enjoy the road trip and then splash into Lake Union for a scenic cruise with fantastic views of the city.

DOS responsibilities include a heavy group focus to increase client base and encourage long standing corporate relationships to use the Ducks on a continual basis.  Increase individual ridership through targeted sales efforts to military installations, cruise lines and Seattle bound conventions.  Receptive, domestic and international tour operators are key clients for long term future bookings.

Develop new group packages through partnerships with other attractions, restaurants and venues to offer even more than just the best city tour of Seattle!

Key initiatives have focused on rural tourism development in niche market areas of ranch, golf, cruise, agri-tourism, tribal, ski, wine & culinary and outdoor adventure through group sales and media engagement.Attended domestic and international travel shows to connect with tour operators, wholesalers and receptive tour operators, including Go West Summit, USTA POW WOW and the National Tour Association.  Successfully led state delegations and coordinated efforts of the group to maximize exposure and effectiveness.Public relations efforts targeted both domestic and international travel media. Provided story angles and worked directly with media to insure positive coverage.  Partnered with state and regional stakeholders to insure messaging was cohesive and in alignment with our directives. Managed multiple marketing contractors in Japan, China, the UK, Germany and France . These contractors were used as distribution vehicles for Washington travel products which targeted international tour operators and media.  Produced quarterly newsletters from the state level introduce new product development globally to the international marketplace.

Consistantly exceeded goals by 125% and received bonus payouts every quarter of employment.  Complete and thorough understanding of group market with very strong operational background which optimizes performance for client base. 

  • ADR growth realized in every segment of hotel, two examples were $15.65, in corporate transient and $14.48, in corporate group market.  Overall hotel ADR increase was 7%, during a year of renovation.
  • Occupancy improved 7% by targeting specific market segments such as corporate and association groups by assertively demonstrating superior product with value added benefits. 
  • RevPar increased year over year by an impressive 16%.

Provided multiple solutions in technology, brand positioning, client retainment and staff empowerment during 25 million dollar renovation of former Starwood hotel into Hotel Murano.
