About Me

I am passionate about delivering high quality, authentic Future Ready learning experiences and sharing my enthusiasm for digital learning with my students, parents, colleagues, and professional learning network.  In my classroom, technology is an extension of the learning that plays an important role in nearly all aspects of our day. This includes: research, collaboration, organization, and independent learning. The future depends on educating students with skills that constantly change due to innovations in technology.

I share my passion for technology and digital learning at staff meetings, presenting at conferences, and through social media.  I'm a Google Certified Educator and have a Masters of Arts in Education in Instructional Technology, Leadership and Instructional Design. I've successfully participated in grant writing for my school site and classroom to obtain new technologies; one of which included 1:1 Chromebooks for my 4th grade classroom.

My next project is to complete the new Google certifications and to continue to learn about and share the trends in educational technology through conferences, webinars, social media, video tutorials, and blogs with the help of my Professional Learning Network.

Objective:

To be an effective educator by utilizing my experiences, academic background, professional training, and technological proficiencies to support colleagues and students with seamless integration of technology with Common Core Standards.
