Informatica ETL developer in User Experience & Behavior Project team.

UE Project is responsible for capturing millions of user-behavior-events generated daily by WestlawNext users, process the events to an analytical DW to analyze & improve the WestSearch algorithm. Part of the 4-member agile team, responsible for setting up JMS Queues, analyzing raw JSON events, instrumenting design of an analytical data model, developing various Informatica ETL mappings with complex business rules, operationalizing and automating the whole process for nightly runs.

Hands on experience with configuring JNDI binding files, setting up JMS Queues and MQJ Explorer, Informatica product suite, Java, Oracle 10g SQL, great exposure to Data Modeling concepts and techniques.

WestlawNext, a multi-million dollar and the biggest product release by Thomson Reuters, has been cited as the largest Agile Project implementation by (Agile coaching company). Part of the DW team responsible for providing encapsulated and searchable information objects for the highly efficient and patented WestSearch.

Hands on experience with coding in Java 1.6 (generics, reflection, multi-threading, inheritance, JUnit testing), wrote SQL queries for Oracle 10g on Toad, encapsulating data-POJOs in Berkeley DB objects, UNIX scripting, developing Informatica ETL mappings and scheduling workflows. Encouraged pair-programming, code reviews, and quick & light documentation, actively participated in iteration planning and daily scrums, that together helped increase proficiency in Agile methodologies.
