Primary Role: To manage daily operations of an in-house mail order pharmacy for a community health center program serving medically uninsured, underinsured and under-served patients in central and northern rural Wisconsin. Managing and supporting a high volume and high touch service centered around the needs of our patients. Coordinating care for our patients across a large territory using telephonic and mail order resources. Some of the sites where our patients are cared for, are videoconferencing enabled. Insuring the continuous professional development of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to provide safe, effective and timely deivery of maintenance medications over a 10,000 square mile territory. Secondary Role: Academics & Research Clinical Rotation Preceptor for University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy and Concordia University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy Students. Co-Investigator for NIH-funded research study-The PARTE Asthma Study. Special Roles: Recognized as an innovative site for optimizing the 340B purchasing program.
