TruPoint Bank

Under contract with TruPoint Bank to provide comprehensive marketing services for the bank's 12 branches in Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee.

• Orchestrates all social media for the Bank.

• Handles all media buying for the Bank.

• Produce and writes commercial spots showcasing the Bank's products, services and people.

• Positions local bankers as experts on financial topics garnering interviews with the local print and broadcast media.

• Designs all print advertising, online campaigns and product brochures.

• Coordinates partnership opportunities with ETSU, the Southern Appalachian Ronald McDonald House and Second Harvest Food Bank.

• Manages the Bank's bi-annual Community Shred Day, working with WJHL and local charities. The event grew from shredding 3,000 pounds the first year to 18 tons in the 2013 fall event. Management of the event includes planning all media promoting the event; conducting on-air interviews regarding the event; coordinating volunteers and employees to work the three-hour event; and the overall logistics involving the shred company, the City of Johnson City and other day-of-event occurrences.

The First Bank & Trust Co.

Under contract with The First Bank & Trust Co. to provide advertising and marketing services to the bank's four markets in Virginia and Tennessee.

• Responsible for campaign development and implementation in 26 branches.

• Redesigned bank logo and implemented on all marketing materials and new signage.

• Streamlined the bank's promotional items to encompass a company store from which all branches could order items that met brand standards.

• Planned events in conjunction with branch staff to drive account acquisitions.

• Developed marketing materials for all divisions of the bank.

• Created trade show booths for each market segment.

• Researched and placed media in four distinct markets.

• Produced TV and radio commercials.

• Devised and implemented a debit card promotion where customers could personalize their cards based on their child's school. In turn, the school received a donation for every account opened associated with their school.

TruPoint Bank

Under contract with TruPoint Bank to provide comprehensive marketing services surrounding its name transition from Miners & Merchants Bank and Commonwealth Community Bank to TruPoint Bank.

• Conducted preliminary market research, community and board of directors/shareholder interviews regarding feasibility of changing the bank’s name.

• Compiled competitive research in bank’s current and potential markets, focusing on name change and its affect on customer base as well as potential market niches in several geographical areas.

• Coordinated internal focus groups and committees regarding name selection and logo design.

• Designed logo, selected logo color options and presented to members of the Board of Directors.

• Sourced and coordinated new signage for 10 branches.

• Orchestrated unveiling of name change and logo to bank employees.

• Developed and implemented name change advertising plan that included Election Night sponsorship on WCYB, radio spots, extensive billboard package as well as newspaper and direct mail. Also negotiated additional sponsorship with WCYB for winter school closings with a bonus of weather sponsorships for January.

• Coordinated miscellaneous branch open houses, advertising and general day-to-day tasks involved in marketing the bank.

Public Relations Consultant for 21st Mortgage Corporation, Cornelius, NC

Launched a PR campaign targeting high-end homes in the Lake Norman area. Campaign picked up by various news outlets in NC and across the South, including the Dallas Morning News.

Agency Experience with Financial Institutions

Managed all banking clients for the agency regarding marketing plans, client relations and account manager responsibilities. Tasks included media placement, marketing materials and public relations. Banking clients included: Bank of Tennessee, Carter County Bank, Heritage Community Bank, Powell Valley Bank and Miners and Merchants Bank.
