Transportation Resources, Inc.

Founder of a start-up freight agency which emerged into a multi-level umbrella carrier and freight management company and brokerage.  At one time the company opened offices in four states and had an in house staff of 15 people with sales of over $7,000,000 per year.  Duties included CEO level responsibilites down to janitorial accountabilities.

Region Manager

Pioneer Freight, Inc.

Duties included business development and hiring of trucking capacity owners.  Start up operation in the southeast region for a northeast based company focusing on developing 6 southern states.  Broad-based responsibilites encompassing all aspects of opening a trucking operation.

National Account Manager

Direct Transit, Inc.

Responsible for business development and maintenence for the southeast region of the Unites States.  Direct sales and budget accountabilites with reporting directly to the President of the company.  This position required heavy travel and entertainment.

Service Center Manager

Conway Southern Express

Service Center Manager hired to manage a terminal that was a former mini-break converted to a stand-alone service center.  Duties included all P & L functions as well as personnel decisions of drivers and office staff.  This was a turn around situation as this terminal was under financial distress brought about by the overhead from the conversion and I was tasked to return the terminal to profitability.

Carolina Freight Carriers Corporation

Responsible for terminal operations and sales production in the southern Alabama territory.  Other duties included driver recruitment, safety meetings, facility and equipment standard maintenance checks, quality assurance monitoring, and management/teamster liason.

Scarlet Enterprises, Inc.

Founded small lumper service that loaded trucks at the Brown & Williamson Corporation Manufacturing plant in Macon, GA.  Also opened a second operation in Louisville, KY.  Duties included hiring loaders and maintaining a facililty that repaired trailers to make them suitably water-tight in order to be able to safely transport B&W's cigarettes.

Sales Account Executive

North American Commercial Transport

Sales representitive covering the south Georgia and north Florida territories for the commercial freight division of North American Van Lines.  Duties included business development and account maintenence.  This position required heavy travel and extensive entertainment.

Sales Executive

Direct sales of office equipment to the legal and medical markets in the Orange and Brevard county areas of central Florida.  This position required extensive cold calling of local businesses on a day to day basis.
