Summary

I've had many different volunteer positions and previous jobs. With the opportunities that I have had, I have a great deal of customer service skills, communication, team building and being able to work with all different age groups. I am extremely hard working and I genuinely think I am a kind individual. I would be great for this job.

Menno Home

I play games with the elderly. I develop lasting relationships with them, I do anything and everything to take care of them and make them happy.

2012 - 2015

Volunteer

Gurmat Center

At this volunteer position I taught my own Punjabi class. I taught kids aged 3-17 how to read and write Punjabi. The classes were held at the local temple. Some of the kids were even older than me at the time, yet I managed to gain their respect and I ended up doing a very successful job. Not one kid failed, in fact all of them passed their final exam with an average of 82% and that is something I will always be proud of.

2013 - 2014

Volunteer Cashier

MCC Furniture and More

This volunteer position was only supposed to last for the summer of 2013, but they liked me there so they asked me to stay longer. Here I was a cashier and honestly, I just really enjoyed myself.

Jun 2013 - Sep 2013

Volunteer

Fraser Valley Health Clinic

At the age of 14 I volunteered in the infant section of the clinic. Here I would handle babies from newborn to nine months. I would weigh them, measure them and take control of their medical records. This job required a great deal of responsibility because parents would come to me and hand me their most prized possession and they would trust me to do my job.
