About Suken Shah

Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Suken Shah, MD, currently serves as an attending pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. Since joining the Wilmington, Delaware medical facility in 2000, he has taken on additional responsibilities as clinical fellowship director and division chief of the Spine and Scoliosis Service. Dr. Suken Shah also instructs medical students and residents at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University as an associate professor of orthopaedic surgery and pediatrics.

Dr. Shah earned his MD from Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University with cum laude distinctions in 1994. He completed a residency at Thomas Jefferson’s Rothman Institute,serving as Chief Resident and a fellowship with the Department of Orthopaedics at Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. Over his years of professional practice, Dr. Suken Shah has received awards and honorifics from a number of well-known medical organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Association, the Orthopaedic Research Society, and the Scoliosis Research Society.
