Two years of a repeating internship, $27.990 annually. Supervised by Gwendolyn "Jan" Lemaire ( I worked for Workforce Development from October 2012  until the second week of July 2013, and thereafter I worked for Surgery. The internship expired on September 20, 2013.

  • Created, populated, and analyzed survey data in SurveyMonkey
  • Generated charts and reports for survey and non-survey data alike in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and SurveyMonkey 
  • Spearheaded development and posting of VA library's online gateway.
  • Re-established interlibrary loan and handled all its requests
  • Updated links on virtual library Web site
  • Administered on-line employee education records
  • Created Microsoft Office documents for various departments
  • Assisted in research as needed.
  • Prepared VA's remaining library collection, mostly destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, for move to new location in near future

The Master of Music (MM) and Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) program at UW-Milwaukee is one of a small number of such programs in the United States. It is a collaborative effort between the Music Department of the Peck School of the Arts and the School of Information Studies. During the course of my studies, the Music Department awarded me the in-house Esther Claire Waldheim Memorial Scholarship. I wrote my Master's Thesis on the life and works of the nineteenth-century New Orleans composer Louis Moreau Gottschalk. At the same time, I completed the requirements for an archival concentration with my MLIS by performing fieldwork at the Milwaukee Public Library (see Experience).

Millsaps College

During my tenure at Millsaps, I participated in the college choir, the Millsaps Singers, as a requirement for my degree. I also wrote quite detailed program notes for them in my last semester. Also, all Millsaps students, graduate and undergraduate, are required to pass comprehensive examinations, and I passed them in music with a rating of excellent.




I have been using advanced features of Photoshop since 1999.


I have been using both the back and front ends of ContentDM to publish and view digital libraries since 2009.


I have been proficient in advanced HTML since 2002 and XML since 2010.  As part of my training on XML, I became proficient in both CSS and XSL.
