What defines me as a San Diego woman is not the version many would think of as the long blond hair, surfer attitude, flip flops and love of the consistent good weather.Although I have been through those stages, what defines me as a born and raised southern California woman is my passion for the ocean and the animals who call it home.
Another factor which has defined me was my fathers 37 years of work for Hewlett Packard. As I developed a respect for his hard work ethic he took me to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and helped connect my love for the ocean by telling me about Julie Packard, David Packard’s daughter.
At the time I was in total awe of a daughter’s dream of an aquarium geared toward conservation. As a marine life lover myself, and looking to join the fight for conservation, I look back at my fathers dedication and my dedication to jobs we love.
Throughout my college career I have gained experience working with sustainability and animal welfare organizations so I can better understand the publics and issues within these fields.
In each situation I have learned valuable skill sets in time management, event planning, as well as working with media materials.I would like to discuss further with you my skills as well as the various experiences in my internships.
