National Task Team
Doj and Constitutional development
As a team we are tasked to create links with other government departments and initiatives within the DOJ & CD such as the Combat Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance programme, as well as other Chapter 9 Institutions that promote the rights of the LGBTI community, thus making use of a multiple and intersectoral approaches for greater positive impact on the lives of LGBTI persons.
We are tasked to strengthen government’s ability to respond to the needs and vulnerabilities of LGBTI persons, as well as complementing and re-enforcing the capacity of CSOs that provide services, are involved in advocacy and have access to LGBTI persons.
To create awareness and improve the capacity of key services such as the South African Police Services, the National Prosecuting Authority, the Department of Social Development, the Department of Health as well as Correctional Services in order to eliminate gaps within the criminal justice system and provide better access to justice for LGBTI persons
In collaboration with other NTT members we are also responsible to tackle gender and sexual orientation-based violence in conjunction with other key role-players making use of diverse strategies in order to guarantee the realization of the rights of LGBTI persons.

Managed the coordination of youth led initiatives around the country.

defining and clarifying the programme's objectives in alignment to Iketsetses vision and mission

Ensured that volunteer there is allocation of common resources and skills within the programme's individual projects

I managed communication with all stakeholders
I initiated extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the programme were identified or issues arose with volunteers in the various provinces.
I reported the progress of the programme at regularly to the director to take appropriate action for the smooth running of the programs
Provincial Task Team

Similar to the NTT, the provincial task team works together with various stakeholders to ensure efficient reporting and decrease of hate crimes committed against young LGBTQI persons at a provincial level
The task of our collaborative efforts at the PTT are to address gender and sexual-based violence at the provincial level.
We are to design strategies that meet the needs of each context within the province
Inclusive Affirming MInistries
I ran capacity building training workshops with other co-facilitators to empower church leaders and congregations on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identities (SOGI).
Conducted dialogues within congregations and theological institutions on contextual theology and issues of homosexuality.
Worked with church leaders within townships around issues of sexual diversity and how to read the bible contextually utilizing the Ujamaa center for community development resources.
One on one networking with church leaders and relevant stakeholders around advocating for the inclusion of sexual minorities within congregations around South Africa.
Was responsible for processes within the Anglican Church , Uniting Reformed, Presbyterian, Methodist , African Methodist Episcopal and Moravian Church.
Wrote theological articles and publications for social media and websites. Currently writting a contribution for a South African queer theological anthology.
