Steven Peskind currently serves as a principal at the Peskind Law Firm. Steven Peskind has held a variety of leadership roles in industry organizations in addition to managing his own practice. His firm specialized in Illinois matrimonial and family law, including child custody, valuation and distribution of property, and related familial matters. Steven Peskind is a current member of the Family Law Section Publication Board of the American Bar Association. He also served as an advisor to the Study Committee on Marital and Premarital Agreements for the organization’s participation in the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws. Mr. Peskind previously served in a variety of capacities in the organization, holding the roles of Chair of the Law Practice Management & Technology Committee, Executive Member of the Trial Practice and Techniques Committee, and Vice-Chair of the Reproductive and Genetic Technology Committee. Steven Peskind earned a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University in 1982. He went on to study at DePaul University’s College of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1985. He received his license to practice in the State of Illinois and the Federal District Court that same year. Mr. Peskind went on to work as an associate of the Law Offices of David P. Peskind before becoming a partner at the firm. He went on to work as the Principal at the Law Offices of Steven N. Peskind, Esquire. In addition to being the author of articles in several law reviews and other legal publications, Steven Peskind has served as a speaker at industry conferences and symposiums such as the Oklahoma Bar Association Family Law Section, the American Bar Association Annual Meeting, the Kane County Bar Association, and the Northern Illinois University Law Review Symposium.
