The Director of the Foot and Ankle Center of Washington in Washington, D.C., Dr. Steven Neufeld has built a reputation as one of the top orthopedic doctors in the country. To offer patients the convenience of having several specialists and services available under one roof, Dr. Neufeld brought together podiatrists, physical therapists, medical assistants, surgeons, athletic trainers, and physicians assistants, along with a retail space that sells a variety of medical equipment. Dr. Steven Neufeld's patients have commented that he “really cares about the patient and has a great bedside manner.” Another patient wrote him a letter, saying he was “very professional, patient, and listened to my concerns.” Held in high esteem by his colleagues, Dr. Neufeld receives referrals from specialists all across the United States. A graduate of the Hahnemann University School of Medicine, Dr. Steven Neufeld earned his MD in 1995. Following his graduation, Dr. Neufeld interned for a year in Ohio State University's Department of General Surgery before completing his residency in the school's Department of Orthopaedics. Today, Dr. Neufeld is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and holds medical licensure in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. He has been published in numerous medical journals including Foot and Ankle International, The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, and American Journal of Orthopaedics. He peer reviews submissions by other physicians to those journals and others. Dr. Steven Neufeld holds many other positions pertaining to his expertise in orthopedic surgery.
