Throughout his life and career, credit processing executive Steven Lemma has maintained involvement in a vast array of professional, charitable, and personal endeavors. Raised in the Portland, Oregon, region, Mr. Lemma attended Oregon City High School where he played a key role on the varsity basketball team. Following graduation, he chose to continue his athletic activities at Clackamas Community College, playing for the Cougars Men’s Basketball program. While there, he developed an interest in business administration and entrepreneurship, setting the stage for a career in sales and management. After receiving his Associate degree, Mr. Lemma started his career in a series of positions in sales, real estate, and online credit card processing. For the latter industry, Steven Lemma discovered opportunities in merchant services and as a result, confounded Securus Payments with fellow entrepreneur Mike Robirds in 2009.
Since then, Chief Executive Officer Steven Lemma has maintained a commitment to the continued growth and success of his firm. In its first year of business, Securus Payments enjoyed 20 percent revenue increases each month as Mr. Lemma and the executive team expanded company operations across the United States and Canada. With a staff in excess of 150 professionals, future expansion into Latin American markets, and the full range of merchant and credit processing services, Securus Payments holds a solid position in the top 10 percent of merchant services companies nationwide. In addition, Securus Payments boasts an A- rating and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau, a testament to Steven Lemma’s promise to deliver superior customer service.
Recognized for his service to the community as well, Steven Lemma donates his time, energy, and resources to a number of worthwhile causes. At present, he directs the philanthropic efforts of Securus Payments toward the Military Order of the Purple Heart, which advocates for wounded veterans of the United States Armed Services. Mr. Lemma lives and works in the greater Portland area.
