Since 2005, Dr. Steven Kizior has practiced general dentistry in Raleigh, North Carolina. Dr. Kizior offers patients root canal therapy (endodontics), restorations, bridge and crown work, oral surgery, implant restoration, and select orthodontics. His practice also accepts pediatric patients and treats general dental diseases. As a member of the World Commission of Minimally Invasive Dentistry, Dr. Steven Kizior approaches oral care from a preventative angle, aiming to catch and solve problems as early as possible.
Like others who practice minimally invasive dentistry (MID), Dr. Steven Kizior seeks to identify and control diseases of the tooth and gums to minimize the need for invasive procedures such as tooth extraction and replacement. When such procedures are necessary, Dr. Steven Kizior works conservatively, striving to maintain as much as of a patient’s tooth, bone, or soft tissue as possible. The advanced technology and magnification devices used by dentists who practice MID facilitate this approach.
Dr. Steven Kizior also maintains membership in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), a group that seeks to advance the art and science of cosmetic dentistry. The AACD focuses on education, publishes the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry, and counts among its members more than 6,000 dental professionals, educators, researchers, and lab technicians in 70 countries. In practice, Dr. Steven Kizior combines the tenets of MID with those of the AACD to meet his patients’ functional and aesthetic dental needs.
Dr. Steven Kizior earned his DDS from Loyola School of Dentistry in Chicago, Illinois, in 1982. He completed his undergraduate education at Illinois Benedictine College in 1974. When he is not treating dental patients, Dr. Steven Kizior enjoys playing chess, swimming, and watching baseball.
