Member of the Integrated Technologies and Systems Team at Morgan State University. Installed instrumentation, i.e. pressure transducers on a building model. Preparing to carry out scale-model experimentation of the building to analyze the flow of conditioned air using swirl diffuser prototypes. Prepared an instrumentation manual for other staff members. Creating a 3D model of a demonstration site to import into an energy modeling program for feasibility study of Underfloor Air Distribution (UFAD) system implemmentation. Developing a statistical model of the ventilation system to determine the most energy efficient system.
Responsible for preparing a report for the FTA on the state of the bus manufacturing industry. Worked with a team of engineers, statisticians, attorneys, and analysts. Conducting primary and secondary research on the bus manufacturing industry. Interviewd bus experts, transit agencies, and bus manufacturers to determine the state of the industry. Evaluated six applications for the FY's 2012 Workforce Competition based on the criteria outlined in the Federal Register; amount requested was over $2 million.
