Daytona Beach attorney Steven deLaroche possesses a rich history of serving the citizens of central Florida. He has tried more than 175 civil and criminal jury cases and served as an adjunct professor in probate and introduction to law courses at Daytona Beach Community College. As a member of the Office of the State Attorney, Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, he prosecuted misdemeanor, felony, and capital-crimes cases, specializing in child-sex crimes. Selected as one of only two attorneys in the circuit to run the Career Criminal Division, Steven deLaroche focused on penalties and sanctions of felons considered the most dangerous to the community.

Following his tenure as a prosecutor, Steven deLaroche practiced as an attorney in the Law Offices of David R. Damore, concentrating on criminal law cases, which range from traffic violations to capital crimes. Subsequently, he established the Law Offices of Steven N.J. deLaroche. For more than five years, the attorney accepted cases mainly in the areas of criminal, business, and family law. His clients included criminal defendants in the County, Circuit, and Juvenile Courts of the Seventh Judicial Circuit, small businesses in the construction and personal service industries.

In 2000, voters in Volusia County, Florida, elected attorney Steven deLaroche as a County Judge for the first of two terms. Presiding over the county’s largest criminal docket, he closed the most criminal cases in the four-county circuit. On the bench in Civil Court, Steven deLaroche gained expertise in such areas as foreclosure, auto insurance, zoning, debt collection, and land use, knowledge invaluable in his practice as an attorney. In 2004, Steven deLaroche’s peers elected him Chief Administrative County Judge. In this capacity, he supervised eight judges, retooled the case-distribution system, and held responsibility for the administration of justice in the Volusia County court system.

A graduate of The State University of New York at Potsdam, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, attorney Steven deLaroche earned a Juris Doctor at Stetson University College of Law in Florida. He also completed a course in advanced trial evidence at The National Judicial College in Reno. Outside of his professional pursuits, Steven deLaroche bicycles competitively and currently holds two state racing records.
