A veteran of the hospital management industry, Mr. Stephen M. Erixon possesses 29 years of executive experience. During Steve Erixon’s recent tenure as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Skaggs Regional Medical Center, the hospital saw an increased market share, decreased paid man-hours, and overall savings. Responsible for hospital and clinic operations, Steve Erixon oversaw improvements such as the changeover to complete digital records and the opening of a new cancer treatment center. With Steve Erixon at the helm, Skaggs Regional Medical Center received HealthGrades’ Distinguished Hospital Award, as well as the American Hospital Association’s (AHA) Most Wired Rural Hospital designation. Prior to joining Skaggs Regional Medical Center, Steve Erixon served as President and CEO of Arkansas’ Baxter Regional Medical Center. In addition to overseeing general fiscal operations for the hospital and its numerous subsidiaries, Steve Erixon played a key role in the opening of a geropsychiatric and outpatient counseling program. Among other leading roles Steve Erixon has held are CEO of Memorial Mother Frances Hospital and CEO of Columbia Bay Area Medical Center. Steve Erixon began his formal education as an undergraduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, from which he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics. Going on to attend Duke University, Steve Erixon graduated with his Master of Health Administration in 1980. Today, Steve Erixon is board certified in healthcare management. A Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Steve Erixon has been highly involved in the sector throughout his professional career. Named the AHA’s Most Valuable PAC Player for 2008, Steve Erixon also served as President-elect of the Missouri Hospital Association’s Southwest Hospital District from 2008 to 2009 and on the Board of Directors for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis from 2004 to 2006. Beyond his professional endeavors, Steve Erixon enjoys a variety of hobbies, including sporting clays, skiing, and running. Mr. Steve Erixon currently resides in Hollister, Missouri.
