Established EMC Japan K.K. in 1994 as key member of the initial 5-person management team. Managed major issues with EMC Corporate as only non-Japanese manager during which Japan sales grew 420% in four years.Drove and executed 40 major sales and marketing programs over an 18-month period, including three Enterprise Storage seminars with over 950 attendees and a joint 11 Terabyte data warehouse exhibition with NCR Japan. Established a joint marketing relationship between EMC, Oracle Japan and SAP Japan.

Managed Symmetrix product business, accounting for a $5+ billion annual revenue stream. Recruited and managed a six-person department. Led a cross-functional team to develop EMC's corporate strategy to compete against Veritas.Managed EMC’s first four-continent Symmetrix product announcement, including 5 separate venues with more than 800+ attendees, simultaneous training of EMC’s 4000+ salesforce and introduction of “Where Information Lives” corporate positioning, resulting in over 40% of that quarter’s revenue from the new products.

Also, led a tiger team to develop and release in only 60 days the Candera ATA appliance, a derivative product of the network storage controller.
